Bandista 7,466 Posted August 13, 2014 Wow, look at you! Amazing. Sometimes it's hard to see your own success. Pretend you are a stranger and you're comparing those two pictures. Pat yourself in the back -- you're doing great. I think our bodies need to adjust to the big changes, stabilize a little. Just keep showing up for yourself. What surgery did you have -- can you fill out your profile so there's more info for people to respond to? A stall or plateau at 3-4 weeks is very common. Like clockwork. Keep on keeping on, keep all your appointments, add a little more exercise all the time -- even just a little more, get good sleep and get ready for joy, joy, joy, because you are reclaiming your health. You are going to have so much energy you're going to rock your world. So get ready...... 1 BeagleLover reacted to this
labwalker 1,177 Posted August 13, 2014 You're going great, and it shows! Wow! Don't sweat the stalls... they happen to everyone. I've stalled for three months at a time, but eventually the scale starts moving. 1 BeagleLover reacted to this

pik 262 Posted August 14, 2014 Wow! You look great! What a transformation!!! I think everyone has these stalls. I wouldn't worry a bit about it, especially with the results in that picture! 1 BeagleLover reacted to this
thesuse2000 698 Posted August 14, 2014 Wow! That's amazing that you've lost that much so fast. Stalls are normal - your body just has to catch up at some points along the way. What do you mean about Protein shakes though? I would think you could be eating real food now. I haven't had a shake since I was on liquids. Was so happy to be past that stage. Get my Protein from eggs, chicken, fish, cottage cheese, etc.
Krystal0528 118 Posted August 14, 2014 U look great! I also stalled at 7 week mark for a week but I'm back moving;)

par1959 470 Posted August 14, 2014 At this point of time you shouldnt need Protein shakes. Getting 60 grams of protiem in without shakes is easy unless your a Vegan.
RNBSN786 206 Posted August 14, 2014 You look greet good job! As far as Protein shakes go, you can continue having them no matter where you are in the process. I am 4.5 months out and I have at least 1-2 shakes a day. Minimum one a day. My surgeon said to continue with it cause at times we can't get all of our Proteins from our foods. So don't be discourage. Good luck!
Bob2013 326 Posted August 14, 2014 7 months out and the stalls are coming closer together as I get close to my goal. I have come to the point where I dont call them stalls anymore. Its more a pause for my body to catch up. I have said this since I started posting on this site. Dont just track your weight. Get a tape measure and track your inches also. When you hit a stall you almost always will still see a loss in inches. 1 RNBSN786 reacted to this
HotButterFly 981 Posted August 20, 2014 You lost about as much as the "average" WLS patient looses in a 12-18 months PERIOD in two months and you're frustrated?!! Let me STOP right here!
