emily g 1 Posted August 12, 2014 Hello everyone, I am 20 years old and I am scheduled to have my gastric sleeve surgery performed tomorrow! I am very nervous being that it's my first surgery, but am extremely motivated. I have struggled with my weight my entire life, and I was determined to find a solution that would give me lasting results. I just have a couple of questions--for those of you that have had the sleeve, how would you describe the pain post op? How long does it persist? Was it especially hard to take liquids in the first couple of days? 1 KristenLee reacted to this

fezik23 240 Posted August 12, 2014 Sorry, I forgot to respond. The pain was not bad at all. Just discomfort, really. Don't worry too much about it or work yourself up. The thing is, it's a natural instinct not to want to get up and move around because of the discomfort, but it definitely helped me. I only stayed in the hospital about 36 hours, and I'm a lot older than you are.
