PlzCoolerMe 23 Posted August 10, 2014 The lack of flavors during the semi-liquid phase is really getting to me right now and trying to think of anything that might help. I'm 5 days post-op and just tried a little salsa after I pureed it even more and the first bite just went down fine. As long as I get veggies crushed down (and my sleeve doesn't signal me otherwise), this seems alright doesn't it? Or is there anything really wrong with my thought process here? LisaNLasVegas 91 Posted August 10, 2014 I'm not sure. My doc allows low sodium V-8 juice during the liquid phase, so I would guess that if you make it a liquid consistency it would be ok.
Jersrose43 837 Posted August 10, 2014 I think gazpacho should be ok if you use low acid and not to spicy maybe? Depends if you can tolerate spice I guess
Tamlyn 107 Posted August 10, 2014 I haven't done gazpacho, only because my doctor said to avoid tomatoes during this phase, but I've eaten other puréed vegetable Soups with no problems.
LipstickLady 25,682 Posted August 10, 2014 If it can't go through the strainer, you shouldn't have it. You can sip the liquid, just skip the chunks.
