Even years out, still discovering changes

Recommended Posts

So, almost 2.5 years at goal, it finally dawned on me that I need to move the seat up in the car. I've been stretching my leg to reach the pedal and hunching over to reach the steering wheel for more than 2.5 years. Yesterday, the lightbulb went off. With nearly 120 lbs. gone, I'm not so padded on the back side and I have to move the seat up to compensate. Doh! Much more comfortable driving now.

Even years out, still discovering changes

@@lsereno

you are such a silly head

doahhhh back at ya

like some/.many/most of us......

your tummy was probably near the steering wheel (like me)

you needed plenty of room

now that you are miss "cute, hot, sexy, mini ;) )

you don't need all that extra room

NSV's for newbies et al are great, normal/frequent

but when you are 2.5 years old!!!

you/me/we really appreciate them!!!

keep up the good job (i know you will!!)

kathy

congrats

Congratulations on your awesome NSV!!! may you continue to be so blessed through out your future in all aspects of your Sexier, Healthier life!!! It is much deserved, with all your continued hard work!!!

NSV's are great no matter how early in or farther out you are along your journey, we discover new things about ourselves all the time. Some are smaller then others but still just as important! Some we notice right away such as our clothes falling off of us & others take more time to click in our heads but are great suprises when we do finally notice them!!!

Every step of this transformation/life journey deserves to be celebrated!!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
