AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! 2 MORE days!!! Yesterday was my last day of work... My leave of absent has begun- 1 month out of work!!!!

I'm nervous..this whole week I've been up at 4am!!! Thinking making sure and PRAYING!!! I think I'm more nervous about not being around my child. I know my husband will do fine with her...but we all know moms always do best...This will be the FIRST TIME NOT PUTTINE HER TO BED ....It's my separation anxiety. I know all will be great...I keep telling myself this is for a better life with my husband, my daughter, and for me. August 11, 2014... We are Ready! Well.... as ready as can be!!!

Monday is the day for me also.

I was fine until yesterday. I think what made me switch from anxious to nervous was the call from the nurse to confirm everything. She said not to bring anything to the hospital except my insurance card and i.d....they provide everything else I need. Well......I am not comfortable with that! :( I want some things. I want my own toothbrush and toothpaste....my hair gel, hair spray and straightener (I might have to feel like total huey but I don't want to look like total huey....I will feel worse if I do. I have uncontrollable hair!)....my jammie pants and slippers.....my nook....my phone. She was insistent about it. I will give in on everything but the hair stuff, my nook and my phone...I have a big purse :) She can get over it. She said my family will just have to cart my stuff around until after the surgery....I think they can handle my purse!

I can not wait until Wednesday....I will be home in my jammie pants! :D

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
