Staple in stomach started to pull out

I had the gastric sleeve in Dec of 2011. Never once had a problem, other than my own fault of getting off my diet I had lost 100 lbs gained back about 50 of it. I am starting just this week to eat healthy and exercise again. I had stomach pains last week and went to the hospital, I found out that one of my staples is messed up and started to pull out and loge itself into a different part of my stomach causing an ucler so now I have to go have an endoscopy so they can pull the staple out... Has anyone ever had this situation. He told me it happens sometimes and it's nothing to worry about.

I wonder if going off your diet caused your stomach to stretch and that caused more strain on the staples? Sucks that this happened right as you were finally getting back on track! Hopefully the recovery time will be minimal and you will be able to continue your new efforts to eat well and exercise again.
