JCP 619 Posted August 7, 2014 I have a question about energy levels. When I go without food for too long or eat too little, I don't feel hungry... I feel bad, weak, irritable, and plain lousy. I really can't function until I get some nutrition. My blood sugar has never shown abnormal results. I'm concerned that after the surgery the reduced calories will make me feel this way often, even if I drink or eat small meals regularly. I plan to ask my doctor about this next week (forgot before... Need a list!) but I was wondering if any else has had experience with what I call "feeling puny" when I "need to eat". My brother has the same reaction.
StayingStrong 78 Posted August 7, 2014 I feel the same. Fragile and weak. Normally if I am not getting my Protein so I am back on making sure that I get at least 60 grams daily. 1 BeagleLover reacted to this
JCP 619 Posted August 7, 2014 So if you get 60 of Protein a day, you feel ok?
StayingStrong 78 Posted August 7, 2014 @@JCP yes!! I mostly strive for 70 grams. But when I am traveling, not paying attention etc.. it lags. I always feel best if I get my 64 ounces of Water, Protein & Vitamins. Its hard for me as it takes a lot of focus. Some days I still feel tired but mostly I am energized and feel strong. I am 3.5 months out and have lost 60lbs. I have another 60 to go and I really want to make it happen so I am tightening up my eating and exercising and trying to be really really good! Good luck! And do still talk to your Doctor about everything. 1 BeagleLover reacted to this
