Yep I'm tomorrow too! Getting very jittery--not just the conscious "oh my gosh, it's tomorrow" kind--but he physical my heart is racing like I'm on caffeine kind. I'm going to a show with my daughter this afternoon. Hope it helps me to relax a little! Good luck to all of us!

I bet so!! I'm so big on taste, if it's gross I gag!! And with a new stomach surgery I don't want to gag!!

How is your pain level? Are you feeling better? It's always better to be at home, no rest in the hospital!!

I am felling alttle better, pain is at 2-3 and gas level is at a 10 walking every 5 hours to help...I had my liquid meds again and it does taste better with a little bit of pudding. So that helps. ????

Good luck to everyone who's going this week!

I just went to the Vitamin Shoppee & had an awesome selection! I also found that the prices were very comparative to big box stores. Plus I also found a product which will be great when I am onto "food" so I can get more Protein that you sprinkle on or in anything & you get 10 grams of extra protein it looked a lot like sugar. In the mean time I got plain Designer Weigh protein so I can mix it in my broth/creamed Soups ect. Because personally I don't mind the protein I do mind having Breakfast all day. They also have a pretty nice rewards program that's free unlike GNC & they take my Health Savings Debit card so that's a bonus.

Hope everyone is doing well I can barely believe it's been a week for me!!

It will all be ok. Be glad you have a good & careful surgeon! I may be in the same boat on Wednesday. That's always the risk with revision! My prayers are with you for a quick removal recovery. Time to focus on your basics! You can DO this! ????

I'm so sorry to hear that. I am having surgery tomorrow the 16th and might be in your boat. I've had my band for 9 years and am so concerned that I will have to wait another three months to have the bypass. Even if they can't do it all tomorrow, I will be thrilled to get my band out.

Hang in there. :)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
