jgarcia323 3 Posted August 6, 2014 Ive tried the Hot Drinks, nausea supository, and even not having anything to eat/drink for an hour. The nausea wont subside. Is it normal? I am 5 days post op.
CrashNCamsMom 58 Posted August 6, 2014 Have you seen your doc? I was instructed to call right away if I had severe or persistent nausea.

pik 262 Posted August 7, 2014 I have had nausea ever since my surgery on 7/16... I have been hospitalized 2x after my surgery and they really didn't do much about it but give me zofran. At home I take phenergan in the evenings.
itsmekarenlee 129 Posted August 7, 2014 Our dr said nausea is normal. Could be nothing, could be a week, could be longer. Everyone is different. If you are vimiting though, that's different.
weightloss4liss 5 Posted September 7, 2014 I also stay nauseated a lot. Mostly after eating or drinking. My dr said that some people experience this, and it's equated to morning sickness. There isn't an explanation as to why some people do this and others don't. I was given phenergan, and it is helping. I still get nauseated, but the phenergan helps counteract this within 30 minutes. CrashNCamsMom 58 Posted September 14, 2014 I've noticed that only certain foods make me nauseous. I've tried a number of different Protein Bars (low fat low sugar of course) and all of them make me nauseous. And, wheat anything wheat. I'm about 6 weeks out, still having nausea on occasion. Hoping it gets better. I would like to be able to eat the Protein bars to help make sure I meet my protein requirements. Just can't do the shakes anymore. weightloss4liss 5 Posted September 14, 2014 (edited) I've heard a lot about a Protein Powder called GENEPRO. I'm going to be ordering it this week. I hope it works as good as what I'm hearing. It's odorless and tasteless, so I'm hoping that will be to my benefit. I also don't like the Protein Bars, or the Protein chips. But, I just bought some hummus and I'm going to try that on the protein chips to see if that helps at all. Also, try looking on Pinterest for high protein recipes. I've found quite a few that are very good! One last thought....I've been using the sugar free carnation instant Breakfast as my chocolate protein powder. It only has 15g of protein per package, but it takes 2 packets to equal one scoop, so it is just as much protein as in the protein powders! And it tastes great!!!
