Ripper 76 Posted August 5, 2014 Hello all, I have been MIA for awhile and just thought I would pop in and give a brief update. Today is 60 days post-op for me, and including the weight I lost 1 month prior to surgery I am down 85 pounds. I am so incredibly happy that I had the sleeve, and am taking my life back. My closet is empty but it has been a blast taking all my too big clothes to the City Mission instead of taking things that were too small. I hope everyone is doing great, and look forward to reading other stories of success. Good luck to all! 10 1959JimmyJames, mz.newlife54, Luigi5144 and 7 others reacted to this

beckyparks 6 Posted August 5, 2014 Is that normal 80 pounds in 60 days that's great but is it the norm for everyone with the sleeve

1959JimmyJames 61 Posted August 5, 2014 It does sound like a lot of weight in a short time, but if you look at it as a percentage of overall weight to lose, he is at around 25% of that. I am at 50% of my weight loss goal in 4 months post-op, and I feel like I am losing a lot slower than most. I am not trying to be Einstein with this, I'm just saying that if you take the pounds out and use percentages then his weight loss seems reasonable. I think that saying 85 pounds lost is fantastic and should keep him jacked up to continue losing like this. Keep up the good work and congratulations. Forsythia 882 Posted August 5, 2014 Is that normal 80 pounds in 60 days that's great but is it the norm for everyone with the sleeve Depends on how big he was to start with. Men tend to lose quicker than women. Age. If he is exercising or not. A whole host of factors contribute to weight loss speed.
