You'll have to give it time. It doesn't happen overnight. :) Seriously, think about it. Did you put the weight on as fast as you want to take it off?

Relax, heal, get a fill, you'll lose weight. :)

You will probably not go down steadily. You'll go down then up then down a little more, up a little, etc. You will especially see this if you are weighing every day, and you will figure out what your pattern is. Also, your period will likely cause you to jump a few pounds... it's all Water. Keep in mind that just because the scale goes up a little bit doesn't mean it's fat gain, it could be Water, muscle, etc.

Plus, you haven't even been banded for 2 full weeks yet, give yourself a chance to heal!

Your monthly visitor may be the culprit. We females have these hormones that just have minds of their own. We do tend to gain a little bit around that time due to Water retention.

Just do like Wasabubble states, relax you will lose. It does take time and can be very frustrating. I know. You are still very early. Allow your stomach to heal and you will be on your way!!!

I was banded 5 weeks ago today, and my weight seems to teeter-totter between 1-3 pounds daily depending upon what time of day I weigh. What's weird now is that I seem to weigh less in the middle of the day after 1-2 meals than I do when I first get up in the morning. All of my life during any other diet, I've always weighed less buck-naked first thing in the morning, but now that I'm banded, I'm finding that often I weigh 1-2 pounds less by mid-day (before supper) even partially clothed and I'm completely baffled by this since by that time of day, I've got at least one meal in me and LOTS of Water.

For example, yesterday after walking a mile or so with my wife around 5:00 PM before dinner (two bowls of Tomato basil Soup -- still have no restriction yet), I weighed 1½ pounds less then than I did this morning at sunrise before having anything! Weird, but I'm completely thrilled with the results so far -- 22+ pounds in just 5 weeks! I get my first fill 12 days from now...

One suggestion, stop weighing so often! Weigh once a week or even less, the ups and downs do nothing but make us insane. The biggest thing to remember is are we losing weight over a period of time? If the answer is yes, then you are doing fine. Remember, the weight loss is only supposed to be 2 lbs a week, if you think about it, that's only 8 lbs a month. I know some lose faster than that, I have lost (and I am not even banded yet) about 3-4lbs per week but I know that will be slowing down soon. As WasaBB said, we didn't put it on overnight...

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
