jeaniek 22 Posted August 5, 2014 I had rny bypass on July 23 right now I'm on Protein Shakes but I go to the dr. This Thursday, I'm sure I will get to go to soft foods. I'm feeling hungry and ready but scared too. What are some things that you all tried first? 1 Moxy reacted to this

pjhoyt 14 Posted August 8, 2014 NUT gave me an awesome recipe for noodle less lasagna. Part skim ricotta cheese, ragu spaghetti sauce, low fat shredded mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese. 18g of Protein in 1/2 cup serving. It's awesome and lots of protein. Remember to purée it. This has been my go to lately.

jenncox 4 Posted August 12, 2014 Pjhoyt... How do you actually make that noodle free lasagna ? I saw your ingredient list but wonder how to put it all together and how to cook it?
terry1118 1,274 Posted August 12, 2014 Pjhoyt... How do you actually make that noodle free lasagna ? I saw your ingredient list but wonder how to put it all together and how to cook it? Search the recipe section for 'Ricotta Bake'. That's the recipe you're looking for. Variations of it can also be found on the internet. It's delicious and can be adapted to each stage. I'm 14 months out and still eat it but I top it with a meat sauce made w/ground chicken or chicken sausage. Very tasty! :-)
Moxy 58 Posted August 13, 2014 Did you scramble the egg beaters Yes they come in a carton already scarmbled. i put pour them on the skillet and then toss them into my tortilla,
pjhoyt 14 Posted August 13, 2014 Pjhoyt... How do you actually make that noodle free lasagna ? I saw your ingredient list but wonder how to put it all together and how to cook it? Just plastic tupperware, add all ingredients, microwave for 30-45 seconds and stir. No need to purée as it's already smooth ????
pjhoyt 14 Posted August 13, 2014 I also do egg salad, 1 boiled egg with 1+ tsp of miracle whip light. I like re fried Beans with salsa puréed. Lots of things we can be creative with. Haven't puréed any cooked veggies yet as most have little to no Protein. Hate Cream of Wheat and cottage cheese.
