I lost 87 lbs.since I was sleeved 3/12/14. The last 3 weeks my scale is just stuck. Not going up but definitely not going down either. I get in approximately 60 gms Protein a day. But do struggle with Water. Any suggestions?

Any idea how many calories you are getting? From reading these forums it seems like when people start stalling about 5 months out, it's because they aren't getting enough calories.

Ugh! I hate that! My body has set points at which it will plateau for up to two months. So frustrating. I have been reading that there are doctors who believe plateaus are caused mostly by poor nutrition--are you getting all your Vitamins in??

I got stuck too after a year. Lost 75 lbs then gained 4. It can be demotivating; however, you have to change something. Maybe more exercise. Or more frequent meals

@ You had surgery 7 months ago and you're down 75 pounds? That's amazing!! Have you met with your nutritionist or a personal trainer to look at what you're eating or how your exercise is going??

Betty...U are doing great. Since I posted about the stall I have lost another 25 lbs. Although it coming off slower now than a few months back it is coming off. I'm down 117 since 3/12/14. I do have to work out harder and big thing I noticed it getting enough hydration. Drink plenty of Water, hit your Protein mark & you will pick up again. Good luck & you can always private message me. I would be happy to share info

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
