Progress Pics ?

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

I was curious...

May paperwork has been submitted to my Ins Co. for approval.

And I want to take some before, during & after pictures as well as my measurements.

What my question is.. Is there a certain outfit I should take these pictures in? Like jeans & a t-shirt that fit now, shorts & tank? Or should the clothes be different?

I want to wear something that shows my actual size. You know clothes can hide our weight. (Somewhat).. LOL

TIA,

I did this.. I have a black pair of workout stretchy pants and a shirt that does NOT cover my belly or butt...... I plan to take monthly pictures in the same outfit in the same poses....

I didnt take any, I should have. But I would do it in a bikini. Show as much skin as possible. Horrify myself into losing weight!

i wore a pair of 'biker shorts' and a t shirt that was snug. last month i had to change the t shirt to a smaller size because it was too big and you couldnt see any of my tummy.

if i were to have to do it again, i would be in bikers and maybe a sports bra. not sure if i would be brave enough for a bikini (if i could find one that fit at 402 lbs :) )

i did not take my measurements immediately before surgery and i do regret that. i had old measurements for some clothes that i used, but i am not sure if they are accurate.

good luck with your surgery!

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
