lorijo1967 4 Posted August 4, 2014 Has my surgery the 31st, I'm not have trouble keeping broth down, but I am having trouble drinking Water. I know I need my water but my stomach wants to reject it. I've not actually spewed yet but I have a very strong feeling after water.
Joangel 22 Posted August 4, 2014 Try drinking warm Water. Also don't lie down 30 before or after drinking. Take tiny sips..water is very important for weight loss. 1 KarenElaine reacted to this
lucinda29 2 Posted August 5, 2014 I had my sleeve on the 31st and I'm the same. Water makes me get a cramping pain and feel nausea. Fine with juice, drinking yoghurt, Soup and broth though. Tried it warm, standing, sitting, with a straw, without. Nothing seems to make it better. 2 KarenElaine and lorijo1967 reacted to this
Joangel 22 Posted August 5, 2014 You may still have some internal swelling then. Otherwise your too tight. I've learned through the years some things slide down easier. I've had times where I was too tight and was able to drink tea and coffie but not Water, by the time I went to the doctor to check it out I had esophagus swelling. Check with your doctor to be safe. Hope it works out 1 KarenElaine reacted to this

Joangel 22 Posted August 5, 2014 I'm glad you had that settled. It takes a while to get the hang of it, but never hesitate to go to the doctor when something doesn't feel right. Some foods will always stick, what that food is can be differnt for everyone. I have friends who can't eat eggs. I can eat just about everything but grapes. Other foods will cause upset stomach . So your back on solids take your time and introduce things slowly to learn what works for you. 2 lorijo1967 and KarenElaine reacted to this
