Pkdvm 175 Posted August 3, 2014 I'm pretty sure that this is normal but just wanted to get some feedback from my peeps. I'm 6 days post op, all went well, thank God, and am on full liquids for the past 2 days on the advice of my nut. Water and cold drinks are going down much more easily, although I'm careful to take small sips and go slowly. However, my cream Soups are causing stomach spasms and some are quite painful-feels like little sleevie is doing backflips and sideswipes. I'm really trying to take small spoonfuls and rest in between bites, but I'm so thrilled to have something that feels like actual food I think that I may be going too quickly. The spasms go away very quickly, and aside from incision pain I feel great. Love to hear from those of you further out. Thanks! 1 4everbeautiful reacted to this
Pkdvm 175 Posted August 4, 2014 Seriously, no one has anything to say about this? I'm not sick, don't need to call my surgeon, just want to know when other folks stomach spasms started to go away. Is it something I said?
kd5wzr 108 Posted August 4, 2014 (edited) "Doctor, it hurts when I do this!" "Then don't do that." Maybe you're not ready for Soups yet. Edited August 4, 2014 by kd5wzr
ThatCurvyGirl 19 Posted August 4, 2014 I have the same thing! Although it's only with Protein drinks which makes it hard for me to get all my Protein in! I'm only 6 days out. I haven't had any trouble with any other drinks! This probably doesn't help but at least we're not alone 1 Pkdvm reacted to this
Pkdvm 175 Posted August 4, 2014 Thanks for the replies! I think I may have figured it out- my Soups were quite thick, I thinned them out, ate S-L-O-W-L-Y and did fine. Did the same with my Protein drinks and it really helped. Good luck, ThatCurvyGirl!
