Christian Boylove Forum - It's good to see mainstream Christians loosening up a bit

To what "things" are you referring?

Because I, for one, can't think of one single thing in our society today that is acceptable due to "enlightenment" that is as reprehensible and morally bankrupt as pedophilia.

I was thinking the same thing, Sunta. It's more than highly offensive to me to equate homosexuality or unwed pregnancy to pedophilia.

I understand that the moderators are not obligated to close a thread simply due to a request. I understand that "offensive" is in the eye of the beholder.

But, people. If we cannot draw a line, without regard to religion at all, at pedophilia, I submit there are no lines left, and we are sitting smack dab in the middle of anarchy.

I am not only concerned about my child seeing this...the "protecting children" I was referring to was ALL the children being molested, abused, manipulated or "loved" as the case may be.

Still maintaining there is a big difference between censorship and criminal behavior against children...and for that reason, this topic, even though its anti-Christian slant is provocative and even entertaining to some, should be removed.

No one is supporting the activities mentioned on the linked site, though. It seems you are objecting to the mere mention of reprehensible activities. What line is it that you want drawn?

Marjon, would you object to a little judicious editing of the title of this thread? Usually, adult content warrants a label, and I guess there's some grounds for objection on that score.

This thread being deleted won't help them.

It has an anti-Christian slant because the website that the thread is talking about is for Christian pedophiles. Of course there is going to be discussion about the hypocrisy of it.
But, people. If we cannot draw a line, without regard to religion at all, at pedophilia, I submit there are no lines left, and we are sitting smack dab in the middle of anarchy.
It would be different if the thread was promoting the practice. It isn't, though. If this thread is removed, what happens the next time someone wants to discuss drug use, or something else illegal, even if no one on the thread is promoting it or supporting it?

Fine. I tried.

I would like the link removed, if anyone cares about propriety at all.

Is there a "pro" and "con" discussion to be had on pedophilia?

If there is, you may have at it.

Excuse me? You're going a little far, don't you think, implying that any of us are pro-pedophilia? Talk about petty and argumentative!

You are making the argument here that pedophilia is so heinous that we are somehow encouraging it or endangering children by simply mentioning it. I don't understand that argument. All of us are in favor of "drawing the line" against pedophilia, and all of us care about "all the children being molested, abused, manipulated or 'loved.'" But why is talking about it "crossing the line" or endangering "all the children." Can you explain that? I'd really like to know.

If anything, silence is more likely to endanger children. If all those Bishops had been willing to talk about what pedophile priests were doing, untold hundreds of children could have avoided being victims.

It seems to me that you want to remove the thread because you don't like the topic and it makes you uncomfortable. That's fair enough, but it is not a good enough reason to justify censorship. There is simply no rationale argument to support the proposition that censoring this thread will somehow protect children.

And if there is such an argument, will you please explain it?

Mouse, it is my opinion that you should chill out concerning this thread. Certainly no one on this site is advocating paedophilia, are they? Some of us may detest Bush, and some of may be liberals, and some of us may even be be atheists but no one here is advocating pederasty.

I will also tell you that I took a little extra time today while a friend was visiting my house to drift around this admittedly extraordinarily bizarre and deeply distasteful site. I discovered this site is not overtly pornographic and does purportedly set itself up to assist Christian men to fight those urges which are of a sexual and paedaphilic nature.

Probably, Christians are upset about the fact that the Website exposes just a little more of the vast hypocrisy of many (NOT ALL! NOT ALL!) Christians.

Christian pedophiles, Christian crystal meth users, Christian abortion clinic bombers, Christian Gay prostitute seekers, Christian thieves, Christian swindlers... the list goes on.

Surely when things like this are exposed it further undermines the already shaky outlook alot of people have on the right-wing Christian movement. And when the movement is made to look bad, it threatens their ability to "convert" aka brainwash, more people. That translates to less money for their churches, fewer children joining, etc. In other words... it's bad for business.

What's your damage?? This thread has NOTHING to do with pedophilia at all! It has to do with hyprocrisy. And to echo myself and many others, if you don't want to read it, DON'T!!

That site is very disturbing. I have a problem with ANY grown person having crushes on children regardless what their sexual preference is. :cry

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
