I have a crazy question. My band slipped so my physician took all the Fluid out to see if this would fix the problem. We'll I had to have a lower back X-ray and the radiologist thought I had a vp shunt. In reality what he was seeing was my lapband cord!!! My surgeon says this can happen and nothing to worry about? Has anyone else had their band show up on a lower back X-ray?

Don't know what type of device you post from but on a PC you can see that only 4 people follow this thread including you and me. To get more eyes on your issue you should start your own thread/topic where hundreds of eyes will see.

I am in the same boat, however, the unfill didn't work. I go into surgery tomorrow morning to reposition the band.

Just had an unfill and my band slipped back into place. However, I've noticed that since then I am much more sensitive. I feel tighter when I am on my period, when I have a runny nose, or just about anytime I'm not at 100%. Not a big deal I just need to pay attention. My doctor has also told me it is more apt to slip again once it has slipped the first time. Gosh I hope not, that was miserable.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
