figadish 0 Posted July 30, 2014 I'm on the second day of my all liquid pre-op diet. I have to be on it 28 days and right now I just can't see how that's going to happen. I want real food more than anything right now. But I'm not going to do it. I'm just going to sit here and try not to think about it.
geelynn 72 Posted July 30, 2014 I am on the first day of my pre-op diet and the hours are dragging by! I told my husband I'm going to go to bed early so I don't have to think about food. For insurance purposes I had to show a weight loss in four months (I lost 10 pounds using the "Lose it" app on my phone) and then dr. wants more following a Protein shake for Breakfast, Protein Bar for lunch and protein/veggie/minimal carb dinner. I've drunk 64 oz. of Water and spent more time in the bathroom today than I have all summer! I'm beginning to have thoughts about whether or not I can do this . . . but I'm hoping that the sleeve will eliminate some of the hunger pains and I know that when the weight slips off, it will be easier to exercise and a huge motivating factor. cybergirl5710 22 Posted July 30, 2014 Hang in there GEELYN amd FIGADISH--it gets easier after three days! Just did the pre-op diet in June (surgery June 30th)--it's worth it.
BrandyV 16 Posted July 30, 2014 I'm on day 2 of my two week pre-op diet. Yesterday I started it confident and satisfied with myself....then I got home. My husband was cooking dinner for himself and the boys and it smelled DELICIOUS!! I walked right past everyone and right into my bedroom where I stayed until my sons baseball game. Today, I have been hungry....and kind of down. I know I have to do this, and I am determined. But I guess I am overwhelmed by everything going on. The diet, the weight loss I wish I had, and the surgery coming up. It's definitely a mind thing. I was wondering if any of you felt tired, and exhausted while on the pre-op diet? I mean, I understand that I am eating a great deal less, but I don't know if all this "ick" feeling is the diet, or something more I guess. (hope this is understandable, I feel like I am not making sense and rambling)
