redhead87 19 Posted July 25, 2014 Before getting banded, I was a left-side sleeper. It hurt after surgery to sleep on my left side. It no longer hurts. Is it okay to sleep on my left side, as long as it doesn't hurt? Or is it bad for some reason? I'm 8 days post op.
bulawookie 116 Posted July 25, 2014 no problem with your sleeping positions. you can't hurt the band sleeping on it. Remember fireman whose life is very grueling and physical maneuver themselves around day after day with no problems with the band. i sleep flat on my stomach. i feel the port but am sure it does not harm the band. Jim1967 3,569 Posted July 25, 2014 I couldn't sleep on my stomach for the first couple of weeks after surgery but no issues after I healed up.
alisadiane 18 Posted July 26, 2014 I was just banded yesterday and I had bought this pillow at Bed Bath and Beyond called the Boomerang and it has been a LIFESAVER! It allows me to sleep on my right side, and I think eventually I will be able to get to the left side again. Highly recommend this pillow. Best 20 bucks ever spent.
