My surgery was July 14 and I've lost 15lbs post op and 10 pounds pre op...so 25 all together yet I still can't wear my clothes that button and zip... I'm stuck wearing yoga pants and jammie pants. How long until I can wear real clothes?! Lol

I retained 25 pounds post op. From 198 to 223. It took a week after beinf discharged from the hospital for that to come off. I had one day I dpent in the bathroom peeing. I was in the hospital for 5 days due to complications. Went back in after 13 days again for complications and only retained 5 pounds of Water.

Hang in there and be near a bathroom soon.

Losing 15lbs since July 14 is amazing! Good job! But we have to be patient - depending on your shape (I'm an "apple"), we lose pounds and inches in different ways. I'm still wearing women's sizes although I've lost over 70 lbs - other people my weight are wearing size 12 already - we all vary a lot. You're doing great - and whether it's bloating or your new shape coming to be, just keep on trucking' :) Good luck!

I certainly came home with more weight than I brought with me to the hospital. To the tune of ten pounds. I lost the weight in three days or so and now I have lost 19 pounds since coming home a week ago.

Now the gas from the surgery is what was really bad. I STILL have some of that! Not as much as I did, but I still do.

You have already done a great job losing 25 lbs and I am sure with time you will do better and better. You will have to be a little more patient regarding getting into your favorite clothes but very soon you will be able to do that too.So Good luck and take care and soon you will be in great shape.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
