donnafhaas 0 Posted May 3, 2007 I went today for a unfill. The doctor told me that my port had flipped also. Mine was almost all the way backwards. This doctor was awesome. He told me he could manipulate it back the right way. And he did it only took about 10 mins and a little pain. He was able to access my port. I'm not sure where your from but he is located in Dallas. He is awesome and did not give up kept trying.
Annie 0 Posted May 5, 2007 I have a port question....do any of you find that there is a difference as to whether the port is placed nearly parallel with the stomach, or off to the side and lower? I wonder if there are more problems if it's placed in one place more so than the other??
WASaBubbleButt 41 Posted May 5, 2007 Mine was originally placed to the left of my big incision, or right under my left rib cage. As I lose weight it is migrating :Banane43: to the right a bit. It's almost under my big incision. I never really notice it unless I bump it or something.
peachpit 0 Posted May 8, 2007 This is why my doctor does the subclavian ports (just below the left clavicle where the bra strap meets the cup) and is training doctors to do the same.
Sandy 0 Posted May 12, 2007 Hi all, I went in to get an un-fill. My dr tried 4 times to give me my fill. He couldn't get to it. He sent me to get x-rays and then we saw that it was tilted pretty good, not flipped though. He tried to get to it again, but he couldn't. He's asked that I try and lose more weight and hopefully there will be less fatty tissue around it for him to get to it. If next time I go in he can't get to it, then he'll have to go in surgically and tilt it back. I'm hoping I can lose enough weight in 6 weeks when I see him again.
