VSGAnn2014 12,992 Posted August 3, 2014 Hmmm ... never thought to blend Protein with ice. I think that might work for me when I get to your stage. Thanks. 1 MistyAnnMoon829 reacted to this
MistyAnnMoon829 387 Posted August 4, 2014 The scale moved down .4 lbs. So I am now 261.4. I feel like I am losing so slowly. I know we aren't supposed to compare to others, but my ex in laws just had the surgery, my ex mom in law the day before me and ex dadIL the monday after and both are down at least 20 LBs. maybe I didn't have as much Water weight to lose as them, but still. Also I still get the hungry feeling that I was hoping to escape from for at least a year. It's not as intense, which is great. I ate a tiny portion of Cafe rio pork. It didn't taste as amazing as it use to, my body handled it just fine though. I have essentially skipped mushies and purees, though I have yet to have an actual meal. I'm mostly taking in Protein with a small amount of food throughout the day (roughly 1 oz). My wounds are healing nicely, I'm going to be putting on these strips for scars to see if I can minimize them as much as possible.
MistyAnnMoon829 387 Posted August 5, 2014 I had a decent drop in weight, I'm down to 260 even. Only had my two Protein shakes yesterday nothing else. Definitely conquering Water, it is super easy to drink now. My tummy is healing very well and I am very happy about that. I go back to work tomorrow. I'm of two minds, I want to be back and have things to do, but at the same time I don't look forward to my boring job. Boooo. 1 VSGAnn2014 reacted to this

MistyAnnMoon829 387 Posted August 6, 2014 @Diana2014: I'm doing really well. I can see two dents forming on either side of my stomach where the fat is slowly disappearing from, and unfortunately it is slowly eating my muscles as well, As soon as I can gym those babies are coming back though! And it's eating my boob. Wah Wah. Definitely getting plastics in a year!! Thanks for sticking by me for so long!! @VSGAnn2014: Hah, thanks for responding!! Sometimes I wonder if people are reading or if i'm blogging for myself. You're the best! 1 VSGAnn2014 reacted to this

MistyAnnMoon829 387 Posted August 6, 2014 I was wondering what day you are at? I couldn't tell by the post but I thought you said you skipped the liquid post op diet? How is your body doing ? I thought liquids were to help heal? I'm due for surgery oct. I have been consumed with trying to figure out what to eat after ... I am at 12 days out right now, I am still primarily on Protein shakes. I just started experimenting with solids as well. I have healed amazingly well. I haven't had any issues with my sleeve at all. I can definitely tell when I am full. Today I ate some refried Beans with cheese, and it didn't leave me feeling satisfied, so I had a couple spoons of unsweetened applesauce. I can also tell when I drink my Protein too fast which tends to happen during the last few swallows, I get impatient because I just want to be done drinking it. The liquid part does help with the healing, since it would probably not be good to have solids in your tummy when freshly stapled. Even my incisions look really good. 1 VSGAnn2014 reacted to this
jojoshep 7 Posted August 6, 2014 Thanks for sharing your journey. Are you still taking pain meds? Or are you feeling ok without them? I have not taken a pain med since the first night I got home. I feel very good about that too. I'm actually taking liquids better throughout the day. You are inspirational !! You go beautiful girl x 1 MistyAnnMoon829 reacted to this
MistyAnnMoon829 387 Posted August 6, 2014 Back at work today!! In the last 2 weeks that I had off I completely messed up my sleep schedule. I use to be asleep around 10 pm, but during my time off I starting staying up super late and sleeping in super late, so that mixed with back to work anxiety I didn't fall asleep until after midnight. I am a sleepy lady. And on top of that my alarm didn't go off. I just happened to wake up in time. Weighed in and no loss, no shock there, I seem to have a pattern of no loss for 2-3 days and then the scale dips down, and I know that 3 week stall is coming up here as well. I may not weigh myself for a full week, Ah who am I kidding of course I'm going to weigh in! I haven't "eaten" my Breakfast yet since I don't like to eat this early, I'll probably have my Protein in the next 3 hours. Though my tummy is feeling a little off today. I can't quite place it...I have my 2 week post op right after work. My co-workers decorated my desk for me, which was super sweet! Back to the grind, hope everyone is having a great day! 1 VSGAnn2014 reacted to this

Your co-workers sound like a great bunch of folks. What they did was so thoughtful! Glad to see you are doing well and thank you for coming back to update everyone on your progress. I am very impressed you are back at work two weeks after surgery. I have a desk job and was planning on being out for 4 weeks, but maybe I will not need to be out quite that long after all. Keep up the good work. I have a feeling you will be highly successful. 1 MistyAnnMoon829 reacted to this
