Jammil0411 17 Posted July 24, 2014 I thought I would be home free. But NOOO! The echocardiogram is normal, but the stress test is abnormal. Now I have to have a CAT scan to see how much valve blockage I have. He said if it's less than 50%. I can go forward with the surgery. If it's more than 50% blocked, I have to have a heart procedure. Great! What else can prevent this surgery?

tnpeach 41 Posted July 24, 2014 It is better to know these things now and when it's too late. I'm sure you really didn't want to hear that news but if you think about it it could be saving your life. Hang in there this too will pass. Good luck. 1 Jammil0411 reacted to this
Jammil0411 17 Posted August 3, 2014 My husband reminded me that the chemo that I took for 18 mos. was known to be hard on the heart, so the blockage might be from that. I was a little freaked out about it, but since I have had 5 echocardiograms since the chemo, I'm hoping when I have this cat scan on Tuesday or Wednesday there will only be mild blockage and therefore I can proceed to Insurance approval and proceed to surgery.
