tracew 2 Posted April 28, 2007 Sick of Soup...lmbo....I say let them eat SOUP! There are tonnes of things out there to eat other than Soup. smoothies are a great option. I still use them alot....you'll get through this. Then you will find yourself reverting back to these simplier things when your tummy isn't quite up to the tough stuff....Good Luck and Hang in There... mylapspirit 2 Posted April 28, 2007 No, I need to know what POPT means and NSV. Thanks,
travelgirl 3 Posted April 28, 2007 Oh, sorry! LOL! I didn't read the title....no idea what POPT is, but NSV is a Non scale Victory. Basically anything good related to weight loss that isn't actually reflected on the scale. For example, I'm looking forward to being able to cross my legs again. That will be one happy NSV for me! Roni 0 Posted May 17, 2007 I feel ya! I was on liquids for 4 weeks ( pre op and post op) the trick is, is to try a billions of different Soups. For christmas I had potato Soup from chillis. It's a bit thick at first, but add a little milk to it, and it's PERFECT! Popsicles are a favorite too
clynnc 0 Posted May 17, 2007 i did really well with Protein shakes(eat with a spoon or let it melt & drink it) can't use straw-- also, campbells potatoe Soup add some cheese to it (yummy) i agree, try different Soups, oatmeal, maltomeal,--add skim milk so it's not so thick... but the malto meal (of course I add sugar) really sticks to your ribs and is yummy- I also make me the Idahoan instant mashed potatoes (they have garlic & herb, baked potato, homestyle, buttery and other various flavors..) Yogurt w/ soft fruit in it (watch the sugar)
