I think you need to put more information out there. What are you eating? Have you had any fills. There is no way if you are doing everything right that you should not be losing weight.

Yes, more info is needed. How many fills have you had? How have you changed your eating habits? Exercise?

absolutely agree with Cheryl. If you are doing even 80% of what you are supposed to, you will lose weight. I lost over 60 lbs and have not been on a diet .. I eat the amounts my band tells me and I stay away from slider foods such as ice cream and chips and crap. If you need to track your food, go to MyFitnessPal.com it will give you a good guide. perhaps you need a fill or maybe you need to go back to square one and meet with your nutritionists. Hope you get it solved because weight loss surgery in itself is not the answer .

I think it would also be helpful to fill in our profile info so we can know where you started and how long you have had your band... it's difficult for any of us to answer you honestly without all the information.

Crystal, it's considered rude to post a topic and ask for help and then not acknowledge the people who are trying to support you?

2muchfun - I totally agree if a person just ignores the comments, but maybe she has computer problems, or something came up that makes it difficult for her to respond? All kinds of stuff can happen. So maybe she's not rude after all.

She's posted since this topic was started. Look it up.

I don't think she has ever had a lapband.

people sometimes come on here to fake a problem just to see what people will say. It is rude.

Hope you're getting notifications of responses to your question. Might need to check out your settings.

Failure to lose or lack of satiety can be due to your band being too loose, eating around the band (sliders like Cookies, chips, ice cream) or misplace meant of your band.

Are you following an eating plan provided by your doctor or nutritionist?

Have you received follow up care from your surgeons team?

Are you logging your foods and beverages and getting some exercise daily?

Hope you respond soon...I saw you posted your concerns on another post the day after this post. Hope you're ok!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
