Having a hard time getting my Vitamins in. They are so gross! I had a hard time with vitamins pre-op too. What's everyone else taking?

I was struggling as well but last week I decided that I would get them in no matter what. I take 1 Bariatric Advantage Advanced Multi EA chewable in the morning, 3 Bariatric Advantage chewable calcium citrate throughout the day (at least 2 hours apart) and I take Natures Bountry sublingual B-12 at least 3 times a week. The trick for me is to let the tablet dissolve a little(or a lot) in my mouth before I chew it. I find that method far less disgusting and after the first 2 days the taste wasn't as bad. You can do!

I found one too, does the one you found have Iron? It wasn't in the brand I found.

I totally understand the first time I chewed a Vitamin after surgery it came up and I didn't try again until I was 6 weeks out. Now my stomach can handle it.

I'm taking a bariatric chewable multi that has calcium citrate and Iron. I also take a B12 everyday, Vitamin D once a week and Biotin when i remember.

You should check to make sure Calcium is not included with iron. It affects the absorption.

As recommended by my NUT, I take my thyroid pill early in the morning. Two hours later I take Bariatric Advantage advanced Multi EA chewable. My Vitamin has Iron so need to space out between thyroid pill and Calcium intake because Iron will bind with both the thyroid and calcium. Following two hours after Vitamin I can take my Bariatric Advantage Carmel calcium chewy. I follow this regime getting in two vitamin tablets and 3 calcium chewys each day. Because I am very low on B 12 I get B12 shots monthly. I take Benefiber every morning. I need it!

This is going to be my life forever more!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
