Comparing my weight to others :)

Recommended Posts

At just under 16 weeks post op I am happy with how things are going for the most part but I constantly find myself looking at other people and trying to guess how much they weight lol don't worry it's all in my head I'm not doing it out loud..

I guess the reason is, it can be very hard to know how much some one weighs by looking at them, I have had work mates and friends tell me how much they weigh and I was shocked to find out I weigh less than them, I am very short so ANY extra weight I carry makes me look "fat" so right now I weigh 191 lbs and I can be stamina next to someone who weighs 210 lbs and they look smaller than me because of my ridiculously short height lol

Anyway my point is it's probably not very healthy for me to keep doing this so I will try and stop and also it just proves that everyone is made differently and the everyone carrots Thierry weight differently so yeah

Peace out :-)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
