erovegno 3 Posted July 23, 2014 This is my first time posting. Getting a bit nervous about my surgery. I am 9 days out. Scheduled for the 31st, with final consult, and blood work on the 28th. My mind is going about a thousand miles an hour. 1 VSGAnn2014 reacted to this

VSGAnn2014 12,992 Posted July 23, 2014 I understand. Breathe -- slowly -- in -- out. Focus on whatever you WANT MOST to happen. Meditate on that. Best wishes. 1 BeagleLover reacted to this
jessiquoi 623 Posted July 23, 2014 Welcome! I bet that even though this is your first post, you have been reading a lot of other's posts to help prepare for the changes ahead. We're all rooting for you, and can't wait to hear your updates. Meanwhile, try doing something totally out of your usual activities to take your mind off of your anxiety. Maybe, window shop online for all the new clothes you will want to wear after your weight loss! If you're into Pinterest, start a page for "things for after WLS". 1 BeagleLover reacted to this
erovegno 3 Posted July 23, 2014 Thank you all for the support.. It is really great to know that I do have a place to go where others have shared the same type of challenges and surgery. I am looking forward to the after affect. I have two amazing children. One is 14, the other 3. I am looking forward to running around with both, playing all sorts of sports with them, and especially taking hikes with the whole family. My wife Dorene, is very supportive as well. She is taking next week and the week after off to help with my healing time. I have certainly been reading about other members here who have been very successful with the surgery, and the of course the ones who have had struggles. Just scary thinking about my eating habits and what they will become. We get so accustomed to the same thing in life, and when faced with changed we get a little overwhelmed. Part of life though. I will keep you all updated with progress. 2 VSGAnn2014 and BeagleLover reacted to this
