I agree with all of you, specially the cutting out air supply while bending over... This is one of my biggest challenges right now. I look forward to:

- not have to wear darker makeup on my double chin to try and hide it

- be comfortable in flats too!! My feet end up all marked up at the end of the day.

- being able to pop out of my car, rather than wobble out

- being able to put my hair in a ponytail without worrying about my neck rolls being exposed

Having the energy to GO exercise, be able to go horseback riding again, to have the desire to WANT to go clothes shopping, to be able to play with and enjoy any future grandchildren, most importantly...to just ENJOY life again. These things I look forward to along with many that have previously been posted.

I think all of mine have been listed, but it is always great to repeat.

When I lose weight I will be exited to.....

- cross my legs

- paint my toenails without turning blue

- get some cute brown leather boots (have been wanting some for quite a while)

- buy me some of those capri length workout pants - that are skin tight - that my friends wear

- shop at Anne Taylor Loft - we just got the store and I refuse to go in there because it will just tick me off right now, but my birthday is in June so expect my family to get me lots of gift cards ( haha ha - I am serious though)

And while I am losing this weight, I am looking forward to shopping at Goodwill - we have a great one - and finding smaller sizes and paying $3.99 for some jeans or pants. I think I will be ok on most of my tops for a bit.

And I am also exited that by losing all the weight - that starts coming off tomorrow - that I am lowering my chances at Heart Disease, Stroke, blood sugar issues, and the chances increase greatly that my Breast Cancer (I kicked its but in Jan 2013) will stay away forever.

Besides all the other things that everyone has stated, I can't wait to take a shower and be able to reach every where I want and need to without having to sit down afterwards for 15 minutes to catch my breath. I used to love showering, and for the last 30 pounds I dread it every day.

Hahaha I laughed so hard with this one because it's SO true.

Id like to add and this maybe be tmi, but being able to wipe my butt without pulling a muscle in a small stall!

I also look forward to walking without my thighs rubbing together.

Not being drenched in sweat while cleaning

And so so much more

I know a lot of people who were doing this or that they can finally get pregnant, or fit into a airplane seat, or paint your toenails. I'm doing this from my health so I can't wait to finally be off all these meds, they're getting gone I'm ready for them to be gone now. Most of all I'm getting so excited because I am so close to fulfilling my dream of adopting a child. And not just any child but it energetic lively lovely 12-year-old boy. I cannot wait to keep up with him.

Just step into a regular store and pick something off the regular rack and buy it.

Walk up the stairs without huffing and puffing, not having to ask for an airline seat belt extension, fitting into a restaurant booth comfortably, crossing my legs, divorcing Lane Bryant to name a few.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
