starspring 30 Posted July 22, 2014 In two days I will be 3months out of surgery and all the sudden I'm hungry all the time. I feel like I could eat a full meal, when only last week 3 bites of chicken made my stomach hurt. What happened?? How do I fix this??
maxcimax 220 Posted July 22, 2014 I'm 10 weeks post op & I'm having the same issue. I can only eat 3oz & then i'm full. I try to drink Water & that helps with this hungry feeling.
TonyaNKy 79 Posted July 22, 2014 I'm a little over two months and I noticed if I don't keep my carbs down to 30g or less, I'm hungry all day. Also this is what happens to me if I don't drink enough Water.< /p>
starspring 30 Posted July 22, 2014 Thank you. Maybe this means we're healed? I will look closer at my carbs, good observation! Thank you
joatsaint 2,814 Posted July 22, 2014 I too get the munchies when my carbs get too high, even if it's "good' carbs like apples, grapes, strawberries, or pineapple. Low glycemic carbs from Beans, lentils, squash, and other Fiber rich vegetables don't have the same effect. Here's my blog post about the 1st time I realized what was happening to me when I ate carbs post-op. http://www.bariatricpal.com/blog/9018/entry-31170-confession-time-the-spaghetti-monster-almost-got-me/
