UTGal99 327 Posted July 21, 2014 I am 21 months out from surgery and have gotten pretty comfortable. I have fallen back into old habits and have gained about 10 pounds back. I know it is not much but I am scared it will spiral out of control if I don't get it under control. BUT, I am struggling with getting back to basics and getting the weight loss rolling again. Any advice on how to get back to basics and restart is appreciated. The bad thing about being almost 2 years out from surgery is that you can eat more than right after surgery and you are not as diligent and focused. I know I just need to do it but don't even remember where to begin, what to eat, what to do, etc. It feels so foreign to me... Please help!!! 2 Snowbell1975 and BeagleLover reacted to this
Oregondaisy 2,021 Posted July 21, 2014 In the search bar, look for the boot camp diet. It is really hard and you have to set your mind to not putting anything in your mouth in between meals, and not to snack during the evening. It's fine to have one evening snack of something, but getting up all evening long and getting something was exactly what led to my weight gain. You can also google intermitant fasting and that works really well. That's how a bunch of us here took off our regain. The links are in the veterans forum. 2 FairySleeve and UTGal99 reacted to this

According to my NUT, on average around 18 - 24 months, there is a slight upswing in weight. Not too much to be worried about. Just get back to basics to knock them out of the park! 2 FairySleeve and UTGal99 reacted to this
erp 2,016 Posted July 21, 2014 I have to track my food and Water to stay focused. When I plan or prep my food in advance, it helps me stay on track and hit my Protein goals. Go back to protein first then veggies when eating. You might consider limiting or skipping the simple carbs like crackers for now and limiting fruit to one or two servings a day at most. Good luck. 1 BeagleLover reacted to this
