RobynPlus2 3 Posted July 20, 2014 Im 2 months out and 46 lbs down but the problem is I see no difference! Anytime I look in the mirror I look exactly the same. Did or does anyonehave this same problem?
healthyme1963 136 Posted July 21, 2014 This is a very common concern. I know a lot of people who have mentioned the same thing. One thing you could try is to take 'progression' photos of yourself once a month. My husband takes one of me every month and when I look at the photos side by side, I can really see the difference. Good luck to you; keep us posted on your progress!
tyt221b 63 Posted July 21, 2014 I have the exact same issue. I can tell it in pictures, and I can tell in my clothes. When I see myself naked when I'm getting in and out of the shower, I see the same fat girl as always. When I was losing weight when I had my lap band 10 years ago, I don't remember this feeling. yvimac1 21 Posted July 21, 2014 I see no difference in my weight loss either, I've lost 40-45lbs so far. People around me tell me they see the difference!
jtickle 295 Posted July 21, 2014 I have lost around 50 pounds and several inches off my waist. I too, still see that fat girl, even though I am 2 dress sizes down. I can see changes in pictures. I guess it must be a mental thing. It may take a while before our brains catch up with weight losses. 1 RNBSN786 reacted to this
pookybear 284 Posted July 21, 2014 (edited) Try taking a picture on your anniversary each month and compare it to a pre-op pic. You'll notice the differences Edited July 21, 2014 by pookybear
winning_by_losing 107 Posted July 21, 2014 I recommend taking measurements. I am down 168 pounds, so I know there has to be change, but yet I still see the same guy in the mirror every morning, so I know exactly what you're going through. Part of it is all of the extra skin, but a lot of it is mental, so some factual numbers (clothing size, measurements and the scale) tell the true story.
