Extra skin removal and boob lift ... ?

Recommended Posts

Two of the things I've been told to expect from my weight loss is for my boobs to completely deflate, and my skin to sag a lot where the fat quickly melts away. I've been told that you have to wait at least 2 years post WLS and have to have a stable weight for a while before you can attempt to qualify for the surgeries to lift the girls and remove extra skin ... but that qualification with insurance companies is tedious. Have any of you heard about this? Have you considered this for yourself? What are the ways to get it approved?
Yeah .. it's a little shallow, I guess. But right now I wear a 42H, and my back already hurts a LOT from the girls where they are. I'm nervous to think about what will happen to my back when these things deflate .......

Honestly, the weight on your back deflated and all is relieved. I at one time had larger boobs 38F. At that time I wasn't overweight but I had them reduced. I then gained weight way after my first child. Needless to say my boobs grew too. My back began to ache again. I then lost over 50lb and my back was fine. My girls weren't sitting in perfect tear formation like they were before but they were lighter.

None of us know what will happen since there are so many different people with their own experiences. Try to slow your mind down, it is enough to process working on the weight loss let alone future problems that may or may not arise.

I understand the mind wonders but try to relax and just take care of right now. The rest will work out, it always does, somehow.

Good luck to you with continued success,

Colleen

as for insurance, I'm not hearing a lot of insurances covering what is considered cosmetic surgery.

Some will cover the belly panel.. You have to have on record infections! So anytime you get raw under there call your Dr.
