ambpete 26 Posted July 20, 2014 Good morning everyone.......I had my surgery on Tuesday, July 8th. I had very little pain and no real issues. I spent 2 days in the hospital and was released on Thursday afternoon. The only issue I had after discharge was my leg swelling up due to being off my meds for 2 weeks. This gave me problems for walking the first couple of days home, I did get back on my medication and with in hours I was feeling much better. Last Thursday I went back to my doctors to get the drain removed and have my 1st check up. Everything went well and I have lost my first 11lbs/in 10 days post-op. I am not having any real hunger pains, but the stage 1 diet is getting old very fast. The good news is that I move on to stage 2 eating today I feel great and am so happy I did this. And I should have done it 20 years ago. I'm 68 years old , so if there's any of my senior buddies wondering if you can do this, i'm proof you can! I will keep you posted on my progress and good luck to all of us as we embark and travel this new life together. 4 Crosby, *Shelly*, finediva and 1 other reacted to this
