kacee 3 Posted April 27, 2007 If I've dumped the money, time, pain and discomfort, permanent lifestyle change and everything else that I have to go through to get something like this PEOPLE BETTER NOTICE AND SAY SOMETHING!!!! (Kindof like if I had a boob job....If people noticed I'd be going, "Hell yeah they're fixed! Paid for every inch and proud of it!")
rrkeithsgirl 0 Posted April 28, 2007 I have not told my boss what I am doing. I feel it is private and all I told her was that I was having surgery. By law employers are not able to ask the details of your surgery or appts. Hope that helps!
steinquilts 0 Posted April 28, 2007 I work for a great company where pretty much everybody there is close, open, friendly and supportive. I did not have any problem telling people and I don't regret it. Like Kacee I figured that if people have a hard time understanding why I had the surgery it's their problem but are free to ask me. So far I haven't had that happen. In fact there are two people in my group that have been inspired to start the surgery process. Also, there are 4 other people in my company that have had the lap band or the bypass surgery. This really helps overall.
