dawalsh 919 Posted July 17, 2014 Well,, I'm happy to say that after 18 months post op I have finally hit the sweet spot! I thought it would never happen! The last time I felt like this was during the "honeymoon" stage when I was first banded. I have a very conservative doctor when it comes to fills and I have been going religiously every month to get filled. The fact that I told him I would be gone for 6 weeks may have made him give me a bigger fill but I'm not complaining. It's working and I literally cannot eat more than 1/2 cup of food at a time. So I'm hopeful now that I won't have to go every month for a fill. I can truly say I'm doing a "Happy" dance! :-) 3 rigonj, Ladybandito and Bandista reacted to this

dawalsh 919 Posted July 18, 2014 Congrats. I almost wanna make a little dance to go along with the green zone. I've heard about read about it. I look forward to being there in the coming months.well, I hope it happens sooner for you than it did for me lol. I told my doc I'd be in San Antonio, TX for 6 weeks and could not make an appointment for July. It just happened like that. It started three days ago with that feeling and I'm actually satisfied with 1/2 cup of food. Of course it's what I'm eating as well. I try to avoid slider foods and start with Protein either poultry, beef or fish and after chewing my protein. I don't have much room left for anything else. I do try to get a veggie down but I can only eat about a tablespoon of veggies. My son made mashed potatoes yesterday and I took one spoonful. I could not even finish it. I'm hoping I stay this way for awhile. It's taken me so long to get there!
Ladybandito 516 Posted July 18, 2014 Now you've got this, dawalsh! Happy for you! 1 dawalsh reacted to this
B-52 7,113 Posted July 18, 2014 (edited) I know people who have multiple "Mini Meals" throughout the day, as opposed to the traditional 3 meals a day...that way they make sure they get both Protein, and later their veggies.... I look at the big picture, what have I eaten for the entire day, instead of each meal....I'm Ok with slider foods also, they seem not to even exist for me.....ice cream, Soup, etc, does not matter. Cannot eat meat, and chicken has to be "Perfect" Edited July 18, 2014 by B-
