DeeSleeved427 7 Posted November 19, 2014 My last appt is 11/24 for my required 6 mo for my primary care for weight loss maintenance! How long do I have to wait if my doctor sends everything to my surgeon that day? I hope I get my surgery in Dec. From what I'm seeing, every surgeons office is different. I met someone here from my surgeons office who had everything finalized (ppwk to insurance, surgery date and insurance approval) within a week. But, me-all my ppwk done 10/17. Surgery date set on 10/21...however my ppwk sat there bc there were other surgery dates before me they had to submit first so I JUST got to insurance last Thurs 11/13, approval today 11/18. I hope you can get a December date as well ???? good luck!!

SciFiGuy 18 Posted December 6, 2014 Got back from the hospital today, and I'm so glad to be home. Loving the pampering from my wife and my parents Hospital was interesting, it was annoying not really being able to sleep, but great to have a staff dedicated to taking care of every little thing for you. One thing I'm surprised by is how mobile I am at home-- the hospital bed was such an ideal to get out of, I barely walked around. But without all the wires and compression boots and bed guards, I'm walking around the house plenty, with very little pain. One thing I will say is that the gas pain is pretty bad... but once the anesthesia-related Constipation goes away, that should be gone. Keep sipping your water! Also, low calorie Gatorade is disgusting and made me throw up. You're eating 800 calories/day now. Splurge on a less disgusting drink.

tfarr 270 Posted December 6, 2014 I was home Thursday, I've noticed its pretty hard getting all my meds in. I have to crush effexor 3x a day, crush lamictal 1x a day crush synthroid 1x a day. But, I can't take the lamictal and effexor too close together. Synthroid once I wake up, then wait 30 min to "eat" and I believe 1 hr before I take any other med. I'm feeling the withdrawals from not taking my anti-depressants properly since the surgery. Such an awful feeling.
