I've been on a stall tho :(

But I'm trying to stay positive. I know the weight will start to fall off again. Hopefully sooner than later. I go to the gym 5 days a week. It's hard work but it is so worth it

A lot of people stall on and off. I'm sure it will start dropping again soon. I can see where that would be kinda a downside. How often do you weigh yourself?

Lol I'm obsessed with weighing myself. And I know I shouldn't be but I just want to see that I have broken passed the stall so I weigh daily... But once I break this stall I'm hoping I can go to weighing once a week lol

I have a feeling I'm gonna be the same way! I weighed myself yesterday and then again today and the scale said I'm down 4lbs. I wore the same thing so it wasn't a difference in clothes. Maybe Water weight... Being in Vegas that can happen lol

I'm from California... Me and my family are gamblers! And my cousin has a time share out there so I'm not sure where we are staying... But I'm so excited

I'm a gambler too! In fact it's probably as bad a habit as food is for me! Lol

My grandparents have a timeshare out here. They're really nice some of them. I was born in California and lived there till I was 5. My aunt still lives in Newbury Park. I'm from Thousand Oaks.

I miss it, even though it's been so long. I spent a lot of my 16-17 year out there with my cousins.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
