Were you watching me? Ha! I plank 3 minutes at a pop, but only if I am distracted with my phone.

Variants are to hold your plank, step out to the side with one foot, then bring the other foot to the same side, back to middle one foot at a time and then out to the other side. 15 x per side.

Or, start from the arms bent position, go up to arms straight, hold, back down to arms bent, repeat. 15 x.

Start from arms straight, "walk" out with one arm about 6 inches, follow with other arm and walk back. 15 x.

Lots of other additions, too. They are killer on your abs, but butt down!

Ok you are good! 20 seconds in and I'm doubting I can make it. How long was it before you saw results (please say 2 days :)

Ok just started a thread in the a Fitness section called Planking Challenge!

Hello Jess

Can you add a link to the thread. I use the app and can not find it.

Thanks

I use the app too and don't know how to post a link! Maybe someone else can? It's in the fitness and exercise forum!

Yes, two days. Ripped abs, flat stomach, tight ass. Ha! Planks are very effective. Try doing it 10-15 times a day working up to a total time of 15 minutes a day in position. (Total, not all at once!)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
