Held the first one for 30 secs (on toes and forearms) and the second for 20 secs before my back popped and I decided that was enough. Not me - I am suffering! Were you watching me? Ha! I plank 3 minutes at a pop, but only if I am distracted with my phone. Variants are to hold your plank, step out to the side with one foot, then bring the other foot to the same side, back to middle one foot at a time and then out to the other side. 15 x per side. Or, start from the arms bent position, go up to arms straight, hold, back down to arms bent, repeat. 15 x. Start from arms straight, "walk" out with one arm about 6 inches, follow with other arm and walk back. 15 x. Lots of other additions, too. They are killer on your abs, but butt down!
