Just make sure you have both clear Protein and full Proteins that are approved by your doctor. Just make sure those other things you are getting are sugar free.

I was not able to eat anything until 2 weeks post op, so I didn't stock up on the purée items until i was ready.

Good luck to you!!!

Had my sleeve 3 weeks ago. My suggestion is go to the unjury.com site and buy a couple containers of unflavored Protein powder. Getting the Protein in with out it the first week was hard. Look in your grocery store milk section for Rockin Refuel chocolate milk. Make sure it's the chocolate with high protein. It tastes close to chocolate milk and tastes better than other Protein shakes. It has 30g of protein & 9g carbs. You add a scoop of the Unjury and you got 2/3rds of your protein for the day - 50g

I'm not sure how long you are on all liquids. My program was 1 week. Then I moved to purée. sugar free ice pops are my best friend. I can't drink tons so the sugar free ice Popsicles give me extra fluids & taste decent.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
