livingmore 23 Posted July 16, 2014 (edited) I have to give myself lovenox shots for a whole month after the surgery... How about you guys? I'm so sick of doing it. They burn now that I am not on any pain meds, lol. Edited July 16, 2014 by livingmore

virtualpisces 26 Posted July 16, 2014 I have to do mine for 28 days. The key to not have pain is to go in quick and at a slight angle and then do not rub the site. I've had to do these for 4 months several years ago with I had a pulmonary embolism. It's worth the pain of the shots if it can prevent the blood clot. Sorry you have pain! 1 livingmore reacted to this
joatsaint 2,814 Posted July 16, 2014 I only had them during my hospital stay. I didn't feel the needle go in when the nurse would pinch up the skin and then give the shot. It might work for you too. 1 itsmekarenlee reacted to this
bluesclues 49 Posted July 16, 2014 I had to do then for 6 days and it burned. I did it on my legs and ended up bruising myself. Better to do under belly button. Good luck!
Lifechange>40 22 Posted July 17, 2014 30 days...mine burn sometimes too. I figure it's the angle or place causing the burn. ( operator error..lol) I have 8 more to go!
