Fitness tracker which one is better for us?

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have an iphone ans ipad, and i was wondering which fitness tracker does anyone recommand for our special needs

Nike fuelband, fitbit, up24 jawbone or the garmin vivofit? Or anything else

I do have sleep apnea( hopefûly with the weight lost that will go away), and i work at a desk all day ( and my company is too cheap to allow me to have a working station where i can stand and sit)

I want to make sure i get enough Proteins, enough Water (which i struggle with) and as less calories as possible and a reminder to tell me to move.

Let me know you're feeling about these guizmo

Thanks

I want to know too...I hear a lot of people on here are fans of Fitbit, so I will probably go with that.

I have the Fitbit Flex, but I wish I had one of the other models. It doesn't give you any actual info until you log in online. Other models will display your stats.

I LOVE MY FITBIT. I have the Flex. It is great for me (I'm online most of the day with work, so it's easy to find stuff ... plus I love the report graphs.

Truly, the Fitbit has helped me double my daily steps.

And I haven't even been sleeved yet.

I was interested by fitbit felx, but then I read a review pn the net that Fitbit overestimated the steps count and also the calorie lost....like by a lot. For the same workout...the nike and jawbone were almost the same and but there was about a 5 times difference with fitbit flex.. The garmin seems intresting for the reason that you dont need to charge it and it's truely waterproof, but doesnt kick your butt hard enough to go out and move. I dunno

I use a free phone app called Accupedo for a pedometer, and then log it in MyFitnessPal. Free and works great.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
