latido 178 Posted July 13, 2014 I cooked before my surgery and prepared many 2 oz food portions in advance. I ate my special "chicken zucchini souffle" many times, but today my body was not happy. I wonder if it was underlying anxiety just making me reject anything (I did wake up without an appetite). I wonder though if the vengeance that it passed with... if that is considered dumping? Or is dumping only for fat and sugar? I'm so confused. I don't know this body yet!
esskay77 785 Posted July 13, 2014 That is definitely not dumping! At least not in the dumping syndrome kind of way. Your body is constantly changing and you will be able to eat this again, just not right now. Listen to your body the best you can. Dumping syndrome would also be pain, shaking, etc. as the sugar dumps into your other organs (can't remember the process now)
James Marusek 5,244 Posted July 13, 2014 chicken can be hard to eat after surgery. Generally it needs to be made very soft. To do this I take a chicken breast add a chicken bouillon cube and cook it in Water for a couple hours.
latido 178 Posted July 13, 2014 Oh, it's soft and creamy (I added broth and greek yogurt, pureed onions, eggs, zucchini....) it's been fine the first two weeks. I guess today was an 'off' day for me.
