WOMEN: What do you use for TOM pain

Recommended Posts

My band doc said I could take ibprofin when having cramps as long as it's not on an empty stomach and i'm not using it daily. I have over half a huge bottle of lortab left over from the surgery so I take some of that when I have cramps. Works great!

Cant using Advil cause a slip??!! I dont mean to sound nieve, but I dont remeber ever hearing ,or reading about this?? Now I am STRESSED because I have taken these, and I was thinking I might have a slip...I have been feeling like I am hungrier than I was before., Dr. said that as long as there is no vomiting ,or swelling of the area,or hot to the touch then it should be fine...My husband calls me Nervous Nellie...telling me that I worry for nothing...But now I think that I might be validated in this??

About the poo WAS.. you're right. It took me a while to have my first BM from surgery and only with the help of Prune juice. I haven't had one again in 3-4 days, but since I'm not taking in a whole helluva lot it's not bothering me. I'll take Prune Juice again when I feel like I need to go ;)

one more question though... does having other meds sitting in your pouch do the same thing...I.E. ... THyroid meds, or meds related to P.C.O.S.?? Just curious now...

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair. Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end. That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
