Skywalker 170 Posted July 13, 2014 I thought this was interesting. A Stanford study (from a few years back) concluded that those who lost weight via WLS tended to have a moderate weight loss "halo" effect on their family members as well, even if they didn't get WLS: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/8831352/Anti-obesity-surgery-causes-family-halo-effect.html
VSGAnn2014 12,992 Posted July 13, 2014 Happens in our house. Every time I go on a diet, hubby loses 20 pounds. Without fail. Damnit.
greensleeve 457 Posted July 13, 2014 It's happening here. H has lost over five pounds just from eating less. He is already skinny but had a little tummy which is almost all gone now. I think it's eye opening for a lot of people at least in the US to see how little food we actually need to thrive. His portion sizes have gone way down. Forsythia 882 Posted July 13, 2014 My husband is immune to this. He is literally eating ice cream right now, at 12am. He's pretty thin though, save for a bit of tummy. The cat, however, is on a diet. LOL!

That sucks doesn't it? My husband only had to put out a modicum of effort and his weight would come off on Weight Watchers; it would make me so frustrated. I would be hungry, logging everything, and my weight would come off like 0.5 lbs every two weeks, if that.
