Garym 1 Posted July 12, 2014 This is my second day after surgery and still having periodic gas pains/heartburn and it is very painful to bend over and touch the ground. It takes me about 30 -45 min to drink a 11 oz protien shake. Is this normal?
catfish87 3,471 Posted July 12, 2014 I didn't really have much pain post op. Did your doctor prescribe pain meds? Walking seemed to help as much as anything. I certainly wasn't trying to bend over and touch the ground though. You may want to just take it as easy as possible..allowing your body to heal from surgery. As far as drinking, I was on a clear liquid diet for a week post op, and could sip pretty easily within a day. Take it easy! It'll be much better soon. Best wishes. 2 Colleen C and 2muchfun reacted to this

It takes me about 30 -45 min to drink a 11 oz protien shake. Is this normal? Why are you trying to bend over and touch the ground????? Stop it I was banded last Tuesday so I am 4 days out. I have not switched back to my regular shakes yet because I thought they were a little to thick and scared me. I've been drinking Isopure carb free drinks and spread it throughout the day. Isopure also has a thinner shake and I split the serving into two and just do 6.oz at a time. I've been getting meeting my Protein goals each day with ease!! 3 Lite'N'Sweet, Colleen C and 2muchfun reacted to this
