eal098 8 Posted July 12, 2014 Feel great! But today I noticed my tongue, yuck. I have Thrush, anyone else experience this? What was done about it?
Ginger Snaps 1,323 Posted July 13, 2014 Thrush is pretty common after taking antibiotics. Let your doctor know and he may order meds for it. It will also help if you are able to eat yogurt with live cultures in it. I haven't looked at the sugar content in Activia, but if it's on your plan, it helps rebalance the good bacteria in your stomach (which is basically what a yeast infection is). When my babies had it, I'd paint their tongues with gentian violet (an herbal treatment) that completely cured the thrush but it's dark purple and stains for days, so it's probably not the best option for adults! lol Ginger
SisterSandy 8 Posted July 15, 2014 your doctor can prescribe Diflucan for the thrush. I have it frequently, from inhaled steroids. There is also an antifungal rinse called Nystatin that you rinse your mouth out with and then swallow . Used routinely it combats Thrush well. I sympathize, food never tastes good when your mouth tastes bad
