JenSul 21 Posted July 12, 2014 How often after being sleeved did you find yourself having to purchase new clothes? Just trying to prepare myself Thanks
Fluffnomore 1,235 Posted July 12, 2014 I'm on my second round. It's both seasonal and because I had some older clothes in smaller sizes. It didn't happen for the first 1-2 months, because honestly I was cramming myself into the size I started. Then all of a sudden about 2-3 months in there was a noticeable difference. I bought jeans in progressively smaller sizes every month for about 4 months. After 8 months I am 4-5 sizes smaller on the bottom, 1-2 on the top. Sadly, it hasn't changed much in the last month or so, but I'm hoping when we swing into winter again I will have to replace things again. Warning: once you have some choices, shopping gets to be more fun and expensive. :-)
maxcimax 220 Posted July 12, 2014 I know someone that was sleeved 3 years ago & she said to check out the thrift shops for clothes until you loose all the weight. A friend told me to check out the sales racks at Macy's & Ross's Dress For Less. Let us know what you find.
Forsythia 882 Posted July 13, 2014 The clearance rack is your friend. I found I was in need of new pants one size smaller quite quickly. I had some pants I bought and was never able to wear sitting around collecting dust. I'm to the point now where those pants that were collecting dust are getting to be too big. Lately I've been going to Ross/TJ Maxx/Marshalls. Obvs if you need to dress in suits or more conservatively for work you are going to have to be more creative. End of season clarance sales are your friend. Macy's always has a 50% off rack somewhere in the store.
